APA Heritage Collaborative

The Asian Pacific American (APA) Heritage Collaborative consists of federal agencies, non-profits, universities, commercial entities, and the APA community. Our goal is to provide interpretation and access to heritage resources on public lands for APA urban communities and others. Our objectives include:

  • Develop websites, conferences, publications, exhibits, and other products to educate underserved communities about their heritage resources on Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), and surrounding lands.
  • Initiate and facilitate tours for underserved communities to visit heritage resources on National Forests, National System of Public Lands (BLM), and surrounding lands.
  • Expand partnerships with other federal, state, and local agencies, non-governmental organizations, and private sector organizations who are interested in historic interpretation, education, preservation, and cultural tourism.
  • Build and foster partnerships to raise awareness of Forest Service’s and BLM’s missions, outreach and recruitment employment opportunities, historic preservation, and other programs.
