Malakoff Diggins State Historic Park

China Diggings and Reservoir is located within the Park, south of the Diggins. The Chinese owned a hydraulic mine here and the reservoir supplied water for mining. Reservoir and irrigation construction were part of the skill the Chinese brought from Guangdong.

Hours: Museum is open Fri-Sun 10:00am-4:00pm
